Two years ago I was invited, by my great aunt, to study an intensive course in Tucson, Arizona. The institution is called CESL and is a kind of department inside the University of Arizona. Basically, CESL is an international school in which students from all over the world, asist to learn english as their second language.
When I was there, I met people from South America, Italy, China, Japan, etc, of of them were nice and interesting, but from all, the most awsome were the arabic guys. Some people tink that they are just evil terrorists but that`s no true. I learned a lot of their culture, costums, personality and language; for examplr, one of my best friends, Ahmed, taught me some basic words for saying "Hello" or "Goodbye", asking for food and how to write my name with the arabic alphabet. I learden, as well, how to cook with muslim taste like Hassan, the oldest saudi, does.
In that trip, I was expecting to improve my english, but I think that I did more than that. I knew what does communication mean because my mother tongue wasn`t useful when talking with no spanish speakers, I could visit far places inside my foreing friends` hearts, I understood the beautiful mistery of being different from others and I felt in love with the idea of man kind.
This is the most amazing experience I ever had, and definitevely it changed my life, consequently my life plans.
